“The Grow Your Own program gave me the opportunity to see behind the scenes work that most students never see. I was able to hear about the financial issues, I was able to view future plans, I was even invited to sit in on the Student Affairs staff meeting, and a Trustees meeting. I was able to build relationships with different members of the OCU staff. Toward the end of the year I was given larger projects with less supervision, because the staff members knew that I was capable of getting the work done.”
