Fabulous Fifty Freshmen-Fall
Prior to Thanksgiving, the top 50 new freshmen students are invited to a special reception at the Wilson House (President’s Residence).  At the reception the “Fabulous Fifty Freshmen” are recognized by the President and Provost.  These new students have the opportunity to interact with other deans and faculty at Oklahoma City University. This event is by invitation only. For more information, contact the Office of Student Life at 208-7900.
Starshine Dinner-Fall
Prior to the official start of new student orientation, select scholarship students and their families are recognized with a special dinner. A prominent speaker from the community is brought in to discuss the importance of service which is a central part of the Oklahoma City University mission and tradition. This event is by invitation only. For more information, contact the Office of Student Life at 208-7900.
See the pre-Orientation Schedule for Details!
Fire and Water Ceremony-Spring
The Fire and Water Ceremony occurs at the end of the first year and includes a fabulous dinner. Here, all new students get together one last time before they become sophomores.  This event is organized by OCULEADS and is the culminating event in your first year experience. Fire and Water allows you to take pride in your accomplishments and reflect upon your struggles.  The OCULEADS class works hard to make this a fun and meaningful event for their classmates. For more information, contact the Office of Student Life at 208-7900.
