STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS
There are three basic ways a student can pursue an academic program abroad: Faculty Led Trips, Reciprocal Exchange/Partner programs and Programs via Affiliated or Approved institutions. Different options are best suited for different students' needs or limitations.
AFFILIATED/APPROVED PROGRAMS
These programs are provided usually by third party companies that charge their own fees, but also handle almost the entire Study Abroad process. Academic Credit for the courses taken will depend on the program's compatibility with OCU.

FACULTY-LED PROGRAMS
FACULTY-LED PROGRAMS
Faculty-led programs usually consist of a ten-day to four-week course taught abroad—often with class meetings on campus prior to departure. Students usually pay a Program fee, which typically includes round-trip airfare, accommodations, ground transportation in country, and some meals) in addition to any tuition or fees associated with the class (information to be posted on our website next to the class). Tuition and OCU fees will be itemized separately, and in some cases may be included in the fall or spring semester tuition block. Students earn OCU credit for the class as if it were taught here on campus.
Frequently students will also take a second course taught by a faculty member who lives in the destination country. This credit for the second course is frequently recorded as transfer credit, but this distinction will be indicated for each program.
Unless otherwise indicated, faculty-led programs are not limited to students majoring in the discipline in which the faculty member teaches. Students are encouraged to contact the faculty member leading the course to discuss specifics prior to enrolling.

RECIPROCAL EXCHANGE and PARTNER PROGRAMS
These programs are specifically designed for students who wish to study at a foreign institution but who do not seek a degree from that institution. Reciprocal Exchange and Partner programs allow OCU students to pay OCU tuition and fees, but study at the foreign institution, while remaining concurrently enrolled at OCU. Institutional and federal financial aid is applicable toward OCU tuition costs associated with reciprocal exchange and partner programs. The universities we currently have reciprocal exchange programs with are Ritsumeiken in Japan, UCEL in Argentina and Alpen-Adria in Austria. Partner programs are with Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, England and DIS-Denamrk, Copenhagen, Denmark.
OCU currently has exchange agreements with the following institutions (click on the country link to see the website of the particular university):
