KSN Coin Wars to Aid Famine Relief in Kenya
KSN's Dr. Susan Barnes, Chair of Transformative and Global Education, and Shannon Rowland, Projects Specialist, have started a fundraising effort to assist KSN alumnus Stanley Gitari Imunya and his coworkers at Maua Methodist Hospital in their efforts to relieve famine in Kenya. Entitled "Coin Wars", this fundraiser features students vs. staff and faculty in a contest to fill separate 5-gallon drinking water bottles with the greatest amount of pocket change, with an incentive for the students if they reach $100 first.
