KSN Welcomes New Faculty
Greg Brooks, MS, ARNP, DNP, has a bachelor’s degree from OSU in physiology, a BSN from OBU, a master’s from OU College of Nursing, and a DNP from the University of Arizona. He taught in the FNP program at OU since 2003. Prior to that he was an FNP in Ponca City with an orthopedic group, an FNP in the Deaconess ER, a CCU/ICU nurse at Presbyterian Hospital, and an OR nurse. He is married and has three children.
Hope Knight, MS, RN, has taught at Rose State College, Redlands Community College and the OU College of Nursing. She was a staff nurse for six years at St. Anthony Hospital and for nine years at INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center. She is active in parish nursing and serves as a Commission Member for the Oklahoma Board of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.
Stefanie LeGrande, MSN, RN, is an operating nurse with a BSN from SNU, a BS from UCO in liberal arts, an AAS in veterinary technology from Murray State, and an MSN from OBU in 2011. She is married and has two children, ages 10 and 2. Her interests include horses, and breeding and showing Bengal cats.
Rachel Mack, MSN, ARNP, an alumna of our RN-to-BSN program, earned her ADN from OCCC and her MSN from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing (KY). Prof. Mack was an FNP in Yukon for a family and urgent care clinic. Before that she was the Wound Care Coordinator for Kindred. She is married and has a step-daughter.
Carol Mannahan, EdD, RN, NEA-BC, has a doctorate from OSU. Her master’s and BSN are from OU. She has a diploma in nursing from St. Luke’s School of Nursing (Iowa). She was an OU College of Nursing professor for 17 years, developing a statewide reputation in nursing leadership development. She was previously on the UCO nursing faculty for eight years, and had almost 20 years of clinical nursing experience, including time in the US Army Nurse Corps. She is married and has a grandson.
Anna Nguyen, PhD, RN, CPN, comes to KSN with a long history of teaching at OSU-OKC and SNU. She is the first graduate of the nursing PhD program at OU. Her BSN and MS in Nursing were also earned at OU. Her ADN is from OSU-OKC. She holds a certification in pediatric nursing and maintains a clinical practice in pediatric nursing at the Oklahoma Children’s Center. Dr. Nguyen has an ongoing interest in cultural care and health disparities, particularly in the Asian population. She has served on the Oklahoma Asian Health Coalition for six years and is also an active member of the Wellness Now Initiative Committee with OKCCHD.
Lana West, MSN, RN, is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who earned her MSN from UCLA and her BSN from OU. She has been serving as a nurse practitioner in Dallas and San Antonio since 2002, and before that in California since 1998. Her specialty is in cardiology, transplants, and critical care.
