Alumnus Cited in Nurse Practitioner News Story
Jeffrey Melton, ARNP, (BSN 2002) worked after graduation in cardiac patient care, including evaluation and management in the intensive care setting. He went on to obtain his master’s in nursing as a Nurse Practitioner in 2008 from Midwestern State University in Texas. He is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is certified in advanced cardiac life support. He spent seven years involved in multiple aspects of cardiovascular medicine including interventional cardiology and congestive heart failure management. It was during this time that he became aware that he wanted to be more involved with hands on patient care. He now works with neurological surgeon Caple Spence, MD.
