Nursing School Provides Thanksgiving Meals and Prepares for Mission Trip
The Kramer School of Nursing collected food for families needing help on Thanksgiving.
Students, faculty and staff collected enough food to make five baskets. The school hosts annual food drives for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Kramer School of Nursing is also preparing for its medical mission trip to the Texas-Mexico border in the spring. The school plans to set up community health clinics.
Organizers are seeking volunteers with various skills to help with construction projects and other tasks. Oklahoma City University students can earn college credit on the trip. Students of all majors are welcome to help. The school is also collecting donations to assist with expenses.
The mission trip is coordinated through Volunteers in Mission, which is sponsored by the United Methodist Church.
