Rachel Mack earned an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (RN) from Oklahoma City Community College. After graduation, she began working as a wound care nurse and continued studying toward her Bachelor of Science in Nursing which she earned from Oklahoma City University. She continued working in wound care and served as adjunct faculty at OCU while earning a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. During this time she also traveled as a consultant for government hospitals in the Middle East. She then worked in two family practice clinics and at the Oklahoma Sleep Institute as a Family Nurse Practitioner before returning to OCU as a Clinical Instructor of Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. Professor Mack currently assists in the Student Health Clinic which allows her to continue practicing as well as to teach. Ever the ambitious student, she is also engaged in earning a Doctorate in Nursing at OCU, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Professor Mack is married “to a wonderful man who has a wonderful daughter,” owns several cats and a dog, and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and fishing.
