Gina Crawford, MS, APRN-CNP, completed an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree in 1989 from El Reno Junior College. After graduation, she went to work for Mercy Health Center in pediatrics. In 1990, she began working in postpartum and newborn nursing. In 1995 she became a home health nurse for Kingfisher Regional Hospital, and was promoted to home health director in 2000. In 2002, she returned to school at the University of Oklahoma, completing both the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner. For the past seven years, she has been at Okarche Medical Clinic where she has practiced with her father, a family physician. While in private practice, she addressed a variety of needs, including pediatrics, adult health, women’s health, and geriatrics. She has a special interest in women’s health issues and intimate partner violence.
Prof. Crawford resides in Kingfisher. She has two children: Bryce, 22, and Kayla, 20. She enjoys reading, watching the Oklahoma City Thunder, and numerous outdoor activities. In the next year, she plans to begin the process to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
