
Oklahoma City University Names CFO
OKLAHOMA CITY
– CPA Donna Nance has been named
chief financial officer at Oklahoma City University.
Nance will assume the position July 9. She will
replace outgoing CFO Brian Holland.
Nance spent the last five years at Southern Nazarene
University as vice president for financial affairs and chief financial officer.
She is a consultant and evaluator for the Accreditation Review Council and
Financial Panel of the Higher Learning Commission.
“We are
pleased to welcome Donna Nance to Oklahoma City University. She is a very
accomplished financial executive whose experience and reputation in higher
education finance will serve our university well,” said OCU President Robert
Henry. “We know she is trained well. She holds an MBA from OCU’s Meinders
School of Business.”
OCU Provost and Vice President for Academic
Affairs Susan Barber said Nance’s experience with the Higher Learning
Commission will help the university better understand Higher Learning
Commission processes.
“We are developing that expertise on campus,”
Barber said. “Donna Nance has a very high level of knowledge and has trained
with the Higher Learning Commission to conduct accreditation visits.”
In addition to her experience at Southern
Nazarene University, Nance has served as vice president of business and finance
at Oklahoma City Community College and as a senior auditor for the Oklahoma
State Auditor and Inspector’s Office.
“As
an OCU alumnna, it is a great honor to be joining the university’s leadership
team,” Nance said. “I am excited for the opportunities that await us as we
prepare OCU’s students to graduate and serve in their communities.”
Nance holds a Master of Business Administration
degree in finance from Oklahoma City University and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting
and business administration from Hope College in Michigan.
She is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma Association of Certified Public
Accountants and the national and state Association of College and University
Business Officers.
