OCU Helps Busy Adults Finish School
OKLAHOMA CITY – A meeting next week at Oklahoma City University will give working adults opportunities to finish their bachelor’s degrees without interrupting their careers. The presentation about OCU’s School of Adult and Continuing Education (SACE) will be held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in Walker Center Room 151. RSVP ONLINE »
The informational session will feature officials from SACE, which offers accelerated bachelor’s degrees in behavioral studies and liberal studies along with concentrations in business, accounting, mass communications and organizational communication.
SACE officials will also introduce a new Bachelor of Science professional studies degree concentrated in accounting.
“Accountants may be in charge of individuals’ finances or those of an entire company,” said SACE Assistant Admissions Director Rick Fernandez. “Either way, the profession is here to stay. At an average starting salary of $46,000 a year, talking about money all the time certainly pays off in this career field.”
Classes meet in eight-week cycles, one night per week. Through portfolios, students can receive credit for college level work experience and learning. Online classes are also available.
