OCU Alumna Kelli O’Hara Plans Concert
OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City University alumna and Tony Award-nominee Kelli O’Hara will present “An Evening in Song” at Oklahoma City University next month. The concert will benefit the Deer Creek Schools Foundation.
Lauded as “Broadway’s golden girl and luminous star” by The New York Times, O’Hara is a three-time Tony Award nominee for her performances in South Pacific, The Pajama Game and Light in the Piazza. She recently completed her starring run as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific.
O’Hara holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance and opera from Oklahoma City University where she studied with legendary Professor Florence Birdwell. Last year, she released her first solo album, “Wonder in the World.”
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. April 10 in Oklahoma City University’s Kirkpatrick Auditorium inside the Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center at N.W. 25th St. and Blackwelder Ave. Tickets are available for $45, $60 and $75 and can be purchased by calling (405) 208-5227.
