Bass School Hosts PPARTS' Young Musician Festival
The Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University is hosting seven Oklahoma City area choirs and four bands for the 2009 Private and Parochial Art for Students Festival.
The March 26 event will be held in the Bass Music Center. Local bell choirs, vocal choirs, and bands will feature young musicians from Messiah Lutheran, St. John Episcopal, St. John Nepomuk, Christ the King, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Eugene’s, St. Charles, and the Rosary School.
Oklahoma City University and PPARTS are in the first year of a partnership that will present an annual student exhibition in OCU’s Hulsey Gallery, field trip opportunities to OCU theatre and opera, and a variety of professional development and related opportunities with the Bass School of Music.
PPARTS is a non-profit organization that helps private and parochial schools in Oklahoma grow their arts programs through collaboration and shared resources.
