Chenoweth Releases Solo Christmas CD
“A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas,” the third solo CD from Oklahoma City University alumna Kristin Chenoweth, arrives in stores Oct. 14.
The Tony-winning, Emmy-nominated star sings holiday classics including "Silver Bells," "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "Come On Ring Those Bells."
The Sony CD precedes the release of her autobiography, “A Little Bit Wicked: Life, Love, and Faith in Stages.” The book is scheduled to hit bookstores April 14, 2009, from Touchstone, a division of Simon & Schuster.
Chenoweth, who received a Tony nomination for her work as Glinda in Stephen Schwartz's Wicked, has perfchenoweth ormed in The Fantasticks, Scapin, Steel Pier, A New Brain, Epic Proportions, Strike Up the Band, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Apple Tree, Stairway to Paradise and Candide. She won her Tony Award for her role as Sally Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Previous solo Sony albums include "As I Am" and “Let Yourself Go.” Her screen credits include "Kristin," "The West Wing," "The Music Man," "The Pink Panther," "Stranger Than Fiction," "Deck the Halls" and "Running with Scissors."
Chenoweth can stars on the ABC series "Pushing Daisies," for which she received an Emmy nomination. She also will appear in the new comedy "Four Christmases," which co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. She recently finished filming the independent film "Into Temptation," which co-stars Jeremy Sisto.
