OCU Pianists Sweep Young Artist Awards
Graduate piano students from the Bass School of Music swept the Oklahoma Community Orchestra’s Third Annual Young Artists’ Competition in 2008.
Anna Starzec, a second-year graduate pianist, won the grand prize of $750. Siqi Li, a first-year graduate student, took the second prize of $250. ??Both pianists were invited to perform with the orchestra April 15 at the Judd Theater at Oklahoma Christian University.
Both women are students of Professor Amy I-Lin Cheng, director of piano at OCU’s Bass School of Music.
