Library Services for Patrons with Disabilities

The Dulaney Browne Library offers assistance with library services for patrons with disabilities. The type and nature of the special assistance is usually determined by the request. While most special assistance can be given at the time of the request, it may be to your advantage to make an appointment for non-routine accommodations so that we may provide timely assistance.

Email askalibrarian@okcu.edu or call 405-208-5065.

Some services we can provide include:

Retrieving library materials - Library staff will retrieve books and journals from the stacks for patrons with disabilities. Delivery of library materials and documents may also be arranged.

Photocopying and other equipment - Library staff will assist patrons with disabilities in making copies or using other library equipment.

Proxy borrowing - You may arrange to have another person check out materials in your name. Please phone or e-mail the library to arrange for this service.

Research assistance – An individualized library orientation or research assistance can be arranged by contacting the library.
