Political Science Research at Dulaney-Browne Library

Political science is an article-driven discipline, so go to the "Articles" tab for information on the best databases to use for finding articles on your topic.

For courses offered in the Fall 2014 semester, these links will take you to additional resources on your subject, including print books, ebooks, and web sites:

Comparative Politics [All courses] [See also Political Handbook; democracy]

Election Seminar [See also Congressional elections; Roll Call]

Governance in America [See also THOMAS; U.S. Government Manual]

Introduction to Legal Studies [See also Legal ebooks; ABA PreLaw]

Modern Japan [See also Modern Japan in Archives (chronology)]

If your topic concerns any legal issue, remember to try searching in the OCU Law Library catalog--all OCU students may check-out books from the Law Library.

If you are writing a political science term paper or other big project, you may need to use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) for items that Dulaney-Browne Library doesn't own. Try WorldCat for the easiest way to borrow books that you need from other libraries. For articles, our EBSCOhost databases have an ILL link on every article that is not full-text, so that ordering them is simple. (Please allow a few days for the book or article to be delivered; you will be contacted by email.)

Please remember always to cite the source where you obtained your information, according to the format outlined in the APSA Style Manual for Political Science (online guide from Texas A&M University Libraries.

If you ever have any trouble finding what you need, please don't hesitate to contact me or askalibrarian. We're here to help you!
