Details: The Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma book discussion series at Oklahoma City University will continue its winter 2013 season with “The Summer Before the Dark” by Doris Lessing. The discussion is free to the public.
The series is made possible through a grant from the Oklahoma Humanities Council.
“The Summer Before the Dark” is about Nobel laureate Lessing’s character Kate Brown, a British woman who, while experiencing “empty nest syndrome,” is prompted to explore the mythical truth that can be found in dreams.
Abigail Keegan, an English professor who specializes in Western literature and women’s literature, will lead the discussion.
Those who are interested in participating are encouraged to preregister and borrow the reading selections and theme brochure by calling Winn or dropping by the Dulaney-Browne Library room 211 or 207.
