PETREE RECITAL HALL 3PM START TICKETS: $10 Artikel Ahlen, november 2008 The three musicians from Turmalin trio didn't leave anything expressionless during the varied program in Ahlen.
I have rarely experienced Mozart played so transparent and emotionally like in this evening. The trio was played so alive that one could understand why this music is considered the language of an angel.
Sergio Monteiro played the freshly renovated Steinway with incredible Brilliance and transparency. The melodic passages which were played by the violinist Theodora Geraets from Amsterdam were never covered, even when she was playing in a very subtle way.
All three of these exceptional musicians presented themselves as in the best CD, exploiting dynamics and Agogik which moved our bodies and soul, bringing always something new out of this music.
The highest point of the evening, the Lalo Trio n. 1, was presented both as a cheerful and a melancholic-dramatic autumn song. It is a nostalgic piece which also brings a sense of Spring: the discovery of Hope. (Stephan Senftleben) |
