In the Nearby World: Opossums

Add Event to iCal/Outlook
Location: Martin Park Nature Center
5000 West Memorial Road, Oklahoma City, OK
Details: Oh, the Opossum! These wily creatures with their course fur and rat-like tails are a common site in and around Oklahoma, the U.S. West Coast and Southeastern States, as well as Mexico and Central America. One of the only marsupials native to this part of the world, they are known for “playing dead” in the face of danger. With long teeth and a fierce, snarling hiss to warn off predators, many people fear these medium-sized animals. But do they live up to the hype? Come find out!

This would serve as 1 hour of Advanced Training for certified and “In Training” Master Naturalists.
