After years of planning and months of construction, the christening celebration for the new $10 million Devon Boathouse, home of OCU Rowing and Canoe/Kayak, was held Oct. 7. The blu party, complete with fine food, live entertainment and streaming blue lights, kicked off the 2010 Oklahoma Regatta Festival. VIPs included U.S. Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun, Devon Energy President and CEO John Richels, OCU President Robert Henry, former Oklahoma City mayor and current OCU Board of Trustees Chairman Ron Norick and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett.
